We're in the process of getting set up. The primary focus of Brazos Boat Works is to provide plans for a nice variety of small paddled craft for the home builder. I also build a limited number of complete boats for those who want a fine wood composite boat but don't have the time or desire to build their own.
Since I have to purchase a certain variety of products, accessories, and hardware for the boats I build I decided to set up accounts and/or purchase certain items in quantities that will allow me to offer these same items to the public. This will not be a full service kayak building/paddling shopping site. I will normally offer only those items built in my shop, that I use in my shop, or not easily obtained locally. However, some accounts--such as Surf To Summit--have a fairly wide variety of items to offer (wine products?...yep). I can use only a limited number of items from Surf To Summit but the account comes with all of it. So, that's what I'll offer--all of it (well...maybe not the wine tasting stuff). Other specific items, mostly hard to find hardware, will be quantity purchases that will allow me to offer that as well.
I'm excited to be doing this. I hope this will be a service that many boat builders, paddlers, and kayak fishermen can use. If there are certain items that you would like to see me carry just let me know. I'll see what I can do.
